For those of you that have been checking back here and wondering what has been going on, I apologize for the lack of blog posts. I have really been slacking lately. Mostly on the blog posts. I have been really busy crocheting, as well as dealing with all of the other craziness that comes with expecting another child. In the past few weeks I have gone Black Friday shopping, had my baby shower, and switched OBGYNs, all while crocheting about a million different things for various Christmas orders. So, needless to say, this might possibly be a long and very picture heavy blog post. But, the pictures are what we all really come to see anyways, right? That first picture in the corner is a shipment of FOUR Oogie Boogies and a custom hat. I never imagined I would be making that many Oogie Boogies! That is also partially the reason I decided to make a FREE pattern, available on my Patterns page.
The hat, I really thought turned out quite cute! I may have to make another one for my daughter Violet, or her sister who will be making an appearance in the near future.
In addition to those items, I also made a Yoda hat. I fell in love with this one too. Sometimes I find it so hard to actually send out the things that I make because I want to keep them for myself. The ears are a little bigger than Yoda's actual ears, but I think that added to the cuteness factor a little bit.

Also, the same week that I was making the Yoda hat, I got a chance to make something I have always wanted to try, which is one of the beard hats. While it may not have been one of the viking ones, which I would have absolutely looooved to do, this one was still very fun to make...and model, hehe.
Well, I think that about wraps it up hat-wise. If you were hoping for more hats, don't fret. There will be quite a few more coming up after Christmas. I am just not posting pictures of some of the things I am making because the people receiving gifts are also fans of my page/work and I don't want to spoil any surprises.
So, lastly there are a couple of amis that I have been working on. The one pictured above is a Minion from the Despicable Me movie. He was very fun to make and had a lot of details in the face that I had not done before, like the glasses and teeth. I know he is missing a couple design elements, like the logo (which would have been nearly impossible to make out of felt) and the buttons on his overalls, but I decided they were not necessary for the overall appeal. Plus, the buttons wouldn't really be safe, as this ami is going to belong to a young child.

The last amigurumi I have to show you guys is this Finn McMissile Ami. This was by far the most work I have ever put into an ami. I really think I may have underestimated how difficult it would be to crochet a car, but I really love the way it turned out! That is also partially the reason there are so many pictures of it, because I wanted to get it from all angles. Also, the different angles of the car are not shown on my Facebook page.
So, if you were wondering what the heck was going on, I think all these pictures pretty much explain it. And believe me, this is just the beginning! There will be many more after Christmas. Also, since I have not mentioned it on here, I will be taking a break in January and possibly February so that I can make time to crochet things for our own little one that we are expecting. I have not had a chance to make her anything yet. But, keep checking my Facebook page and this blog, because there will still be blog entries even though I am not taking orders. There will most likely be tons of pictures of baby blankets, hats, mittens, booties and that sort of thing coming in the next couple months. So, stay tuned! Thanks for stopping by and I can't wait until after Christmas so I can show off all of the other cute things I have been making!
