- I suggest inserting wire into the top of the head at this point, if you are going to use it. After you have inserted the wire, stuff just the very top of the head but very sparingly.
- This is also a great place to stop and sew on the face. Sew the eyes normally, and if desired, very sloppily (but securely) sew on the mouth so that it looks like it is stitched in the way the one does in the picture. The cutout for the face is located right below the body portion of the rest of this pattern, if you want it. You can also use your own facial expression or just use mine as a general guideline.
Row 51-59: sc in each st around (66 total)
Row 60: *dec, sc in each of next 9 st* repeat * around (60 total)
- I would suggest filling up the rest of the body around here, just to make it easier.
Row 62: *dec, sc in each of next 7 st* repeat* around (48 total)
Row 63: *dec, sc in each of next 6 st* repeat* around (42 total)
Row 64: *dec, sc in each of next 5 st* repeat * around (36 total)

Row 67: *dec, sc in each of next 2 st* repeat* around (18 total)
Row 68: *dec, sc in next st* repeat* around (12 total)
Row 69: dec each st around (6 total)
- Tie off and pull through the hole a few times to completely close it up.

- Tie off and leave end.
- Make 2. Once you are finished with the arms, fold them in half and weave through with the black yarn like with the body to create the stitched effect.
- After you have weaved the black yarn in, stuff the arms. Then keep them folded in half and pin the top ends together so that you have a flat surface to sew onto the body.
Row 1: 6 sc in magic circle
Row 2: inc in each st around (12 total)
Row 3-4: sc in each st around (12 total)
Row 5: *inc, sc in next st* repeat * around (18 total)
Row 6-7: sc in each st around (18 total)
- Make 2. It is not necessary to make the stitching on the legs since they are so small, but you can if you would like.
- Pin the legs onto the bottom of the body.
- Sew on the face if you haven’t yet (I still suggest sewing it on halfway through working on the body though)
- Sew on arms and legs.
- Cut a piece of yarn about 6” long and 3 pieces of yarn that are about 2” a piece. Attach the longer piece of yarn to the very tip top of the head. Tie this piece on and weave in the short end. Tie each of the other pieces onto the hanging end of the long piece, one by one, right on top of each other to create a spider. You can sew the knot on a little to make it more secure if you would like, but it is not necessary if you double knot.
