I have been fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to make all kinds of things in the past couple of weeks. It has kept me very busy and once again challenged me in new ways. This is a Pinkie Pie Amigurumi I made for a friend as a birthday present. I still have not had the chance to give it to her, but cannot wait to. The eyes were quite a hassle to make, but I really wanted to take my time so I could get the adorable anime eye type of look that she needed. I used felt to make the eyes and mouth, Caron Simply Soft Yarn for the pony's body and cutie mark, and 100% Cotton Peaches N Creme Yarn for the hair. I hope you guys enjoy looking at it as much as I enjoyed making it. I may be making something similar (but probably a unicorn) for my daughter in the near future, so keep an eye out for it!
Also as a custom order last week I made this adorable Brown and Blue Spotted Piggy Ami. I made the eyes and nose holes with felt, the body with Red Heart Super Saver Yarn, and the polka dots with Caron Simply Soft Yarn. This one was a lot less challenging than the pony, but was still very time consuming with all of the spots. The ears were also a bit of a challenge, but making two layers seemed to make them a lot more poseable. This is another ami I would really like to try and attempt again in the future...maybe without the polka dots, hehe.
The one last bit of news I have is that I am participating in a Giveaway this week. For those of you that don't follow me on Facebook, follow the link below and follow the instructions to enter the contest. It is being held by Sew Crafty Baby, and there are all kinds of amazing prizes, including an Infant Size Mickey Mouse Earflap Hat from Hook In Mouth Crochet!!!
